Challenge to End Hunger: Benedictine Sisters of Delaware
The Benedictine Sisters of Delaware are joining with Catholic Sisters across the nation to put a focus on the increasing problem of food-insecurity due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
We have made brown bag lunches to be distributed to people in need, as well as making monetary contributions to local organizations that address the problem of food-insecurity.
During Catholic Sisters Week, March 8 to March 14, 2021, we will make monetary contributions to The Sunday Breakfast Mission (www.sundaybreakfastmission.org), The Food Bank of Delaware (www.fbd.org) and The Ministry of Caring / Emmanuel Dining Room (www.ministryofcaring.org), local organizations that assist people in need of proper nutrition.
We invite and encourage you, if you are able, to contribute to a program of your choice.
In addition, your prayers for an end to the pandemic and for the alleviation of hunger in our world are sorely needed and much appreciated.
Thank you and God bless you.
