Challenge to End Hunger: Sisters of St. Agnes
The Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes, based in Fond du Lac, WI, will join the Challenge to End Hunger by making donations to local food banks.
Sisters will participate wherever they may be in the world by giving food or financial donations to a local food pantry, or by participating in a parish or civic endeavor to address hunger needs. The congregation has also provided donations to local and area food pantries and food banks, to Catholic Relief Services (CRS) in order to address hunger and shelter needs, and a named donation to CRS for food, shelter and reconstruction in Nicaragua after the devastating hurricanes.
The Catholic Sisters of Leadership Conference of Women Religious, Region 4 have invited congregations of women religious to join a collaborative effort to serve persons in need during Catholic Sisters Week and bring much needed awareness to the current increase in food insecurity and its underlying causes.
