Food Security and Food Justice

The Religious of the Sacred Heart stand in solidarity with vulnerable and marginalized communities most impacted by the global pandemic. In honor of Catholic Sisters Week we will make a monetary contribution to the Capital Area Food Bank in Washington, DC. We also seek justice for farmworkers and food support workers, many of whom are migrants, who frequently work under poor working conditions and low pay. Farm worker exposure to COVID is a crucial concern, and so we will also make a monetary contribution to the National Farm Workers Ministry, to support organizing and relief for farm workers.
