The Gospel mandate to “love thy neighbor” is an essential element of our Catholic faith. It builds upon the Church’s belief in the sanctity and dignity of human life. This tenet of faith is embodied in the IHM Congregation’s commitment to social justice. IHM Social Justice Coordinator, Sister Joyce, works tirelessly on important social justice issues such as immigration, racism, poverty, climate change, gun safety, and life issues (pre-birth and after birth through end of life). Sisters residing at Camilla Hall (the healthcare center and retirement home of the IHM Sisters) are also active supporters and participants in many issues and avenues of social justice not only with prayer but also with advocacy, education, and charity.
